This comedy by Lydia Blaisdell dives into the love triangle between the renowned composer Arnold Schönberg, Schönberg’s wife (Mathilde), and Austrian painter Richard Gerstl. The project partners with non-binary and Trans community members to challenge how we frame historical narratives and to interrogate
who we center in those stories.

​gerstl took the easy way out  played at New Georges’ JAMboree ​on May 13th and 14th, 2024 at the Center for Performance Research in NYC.

The  play was developed through New George's JAM and first workshopped at The Eugene O'Neill Theater thanks to an ARPA grant from the City of New London’s Cultural District Commission
